Boral Ltd (Gold Coast, Qld)
Hardrock Quarry Expansion.
Obtained a suite of environmental planning approvals across Local and State levels of Government in a short timeframe in relation to Protected Plants and fauna management following undertaking detailed site survey works. Prepared an environmental approvals condition compliance strategy to guide ongoing management of the quarry.
APD Projects (Logan, Qld)
Residential Sub-division (1 into 66 lots)
A complex project from an environmental planning approvals perspective with much of the site mapped by the State as Core Koala Habitat Area. We undertook detailed ecological assessment and mitigation planning works as well as manage the State Government concurrence agency process in relation to the koala planning provisions. Site yield was ultimately unconstrained by KHA mapping given the rigour of environmental planning, impact assessment and mitigation inputs to the project
CleanCo Ltd (Somerset Region, Qld)
Wivenhoe Dam Facility Upgrades
New Ground prepared ecological planning, assessment and impact mitigation measures as well as bushfire hazard assessment and management measures for essential infrastructure upgrades associated with the Wivenhoe Dam hydro power station. Works were prepared as part of a Ministerial Infrastructure Designation (MID) approvals process and guided project design works toward avoidance and minimization of impacts upon ecological features of significance and adherence to required bushfire risk mitigation measures.
